The preference is to hold the baby's head in tilt and rotation - a position where the baby's head is turned to one side and one ear is closer to the shoulder than the other.

Until a certain age, holding the head in a bow is physiological - i.e. natural. We can observe this physiological preference in the baby until the period of eye fixation (which occurs in the 4th - 6th week after birth). For the first 4 - 6 weeks we expect the baby to have a preference for holding the head to one side, but it is extremely important that the baby is able to switch the preference - to turn the head to the other side and show a second-sided bow. It is perfectly normal for a baby to have asymmetry up to 3 months of age - whether it is just the head or perhaps the trunk and pelvis. As a rule, when the baby's head is turned and bowed to one side, this situation is followed by a bowing of the torso and also a "bowing" of the pelvis - the baby demonstrates the "C" position. If the baby turns its head to the other side, it will switch the rotation of the head and its bow, and the whole body should respond in the same way - to perform the "C" position to the other side. In this way we can verify that the predilection is physiological (given the age of the child).

We also assess the smoothness of the rotational movement of the head, if after blocking the view on one side the baby slowly rotates its head to the other side, reaches the ear of the other side and stays lying on this side, we know that this is a physiological predilection (again taking into account the age of the baby). If the baby already demonstrates eye fixation (can look at a picture or a toy) and still prefers one side, we then distinguish between fixed and unfixed predilection. If the baby prefers one side, but manages to change the rotation and tilt smoothly, to reach up to the ear and to lie on the non-preferred side, this is a non-fixed preference. However, if the movement into rotation is jerky and not smooth and the child turns his head to the non-preferred side and immediately goes back or even does not turn to the other side at all, it could be a fixed predilection.

The consequence of untreated bowing and rotation of the baby's head is asymmetry in development, which can lead to scoliosis, head drooping or plagiocephaly and possible delayed motor development.Predilection and other asymmetries can be prevented by proper gripping and handling of the baby, so it is advisable to visit a pediatric physiotherapist's office as soon as possible after birth. As part of the prevention and treatment of predilection, the parent attending physiotherapy is taught how to position, lift, lay, change and swaddle the baby correctly. We also discuss options for carrying the baby in the arms, the positioning of the baby and mother during feeding, or the proper use of baby aids to promote proper overall development. The benefit of seeing a physiotherapist early is that we can also pick up any potential developmental barriers that may be emerging, and respond immediately by changing the therapy or manual touch.

At FYZIO MEDICO CLINIC you do not need a doctor's recommendation, just call 601 201 575 or make an appointment online. You can then visit the physiotherapist with your baby within 48 hours of making the appointment.

In the first months of a child's life, it is absolutely essential that psychomotor development takes place in the highest possible quality.

Quality psychomotor development in the first year of life is closely related to fine motor skills and other skills that the child will acquire later in life. Whether you are addressing prevention or specific developmental defects, we are here for you with our kind and smiling therapists who use specialized techniques to ensure your little one's proper development.

We look forward to your visit!

In this article we would like to introduce you to the method used by our certified physiotherapists in their therapies. The founder of the method is PhDr. Ingrid Palaszczakova Špringrová, Ph.D and it is known not only in our country, but it is recognized worldwide.
This concept, like Prof. Kolář's DNS, is based on the developmental kinesiology of the child, which is the development of the newborn in its first year of life. It uses different developmental positions that the child should master during development with the correct body alignment and muscle coactivation. These include supine lying, high oblique sitting, prone position, sitting on 4, etc. Conversely, we adults often forget or do these positions incorrectly and various pains from overuse, poor body alignment, poor movement patterns, etc. can result.
What is the main goal of the (ACT) exercise?

The goal of Acral Co-Activation Therapy exercises is to stretch the spine as much as possible, activate the correct muscle chains, and activate the deep stabilization system, all in the presence of proper alignment of our arms and legs. In this exercise we perform bracing on the roots of the hands and heels. It is very important to maintain the arch on both the foot and the hand.

How often do I need to exercise and for whom is the therapy suitable?

With this exercise, the dosage is also important, so that we program this correct body setting into our brain and thus relearn our bad habits and bad stereotypes. This type of exercise is suitable for everyone and with our qualified therapists we will create an individual plan for you in which the best movement patterns are selected, dosage is set, frequency of visits and everything that will be needed to suit your needs.

The entire therapy is based on a detailed initial examination to ensure that the therapy is as effective as possible and no unwanted complications occur. We try to devise a way that the exercise is not confined to the home environment, but that the client can exercise anytime and anywhere. Many aids can also be used in the exercise so that the exercise is not stereotyped.

We look forward to your visit, FYZIO MEDICO CLINIC team.

The lymphatic system, our unknown hero, plays a key role in overall health. Many people place great importance on a healthy lifestyle and taking care of their bodies. They are interested in how it actually works. What, however, often remains in the background and one big unknown is the lymphatic system. And what is this constantly talked about lymphatic system? Is it even necessary? We assure you that it is. The lymphatic system is a network of blood vessels, nodes and organs that plays a vital role in our immune system and in the removal of waste products from the body. Do you play sports and your feet are swollen? Are you losing weight? Do you have stressful periods? Are you frequently ill? A functional lymphatic system can help you with all of this.

At FYZIO MEDICO CLINIC, we do not limit ourselves to providing services, but strive to be a pioneer in the field of education. Our team of experienced physiotherapists believe that an informed patient is the key to overall success. Clients not only undergo professional physical therapy and massage, but are also equipped with the knowledge on how to care for their lymphatic system in everyday life. And because we believe that successful therapy is also backed up by proper home care, we decided to go against this and try combining professional lymphatic massage and the PRANAMAT ECO functional mat. We have been testing this method for less than two months with the help of some of our clients and we would like to share with you the positive effects we have observed.

1) Problems with swelling of the limbs

Our client suffered from swelling of her lower limbs caused by a long-term unhealthy lifestyle - minimal fluid consumption, excessive caffeine and lack of activity. Regular visits for lymphatic massage brought significant changes and the client began to feel relief from the swelling. After discussing this with the client, we tried adding the PRANAMAT ECO acupressure pad for home use to her regular massages. Not only did our client feel relief from the swelling, but she also began to notice a positive effect on her psyche. As her thirst increased, she began to drink more, which opened the way to better functioning of her overall lymphatic system. Through a combination of home use of the PRANAMAT ECO pad and regular lymphatic massages, the client became more concerned about her health and how her lifestyle was affecting her body. This story shows how positive changes in one area can have a wider impact on the overall quality of life.

2) Stress and the fight against cellulite

At FYZIO MEDICO CLINIC, we recently had a client who was struggling with high stress from work and was meticulous about her appearance. Even though she tried to eat healthy, she struggled with cellulite that was relentlessly taking hold. Her journey to improvement involved regular visits for lymphatic massage and positive changes began to appear. The client's metabolism was given a serious "boost", which led to more effective body fat loss. Again, after discussion with the client, we tried to include the use of the PRANAMAT ECO massage pad at home. The client gradually experienced improvement in her cellulite and amazing results in the form of weight loss. For her, it was not just about aesthetic improvement, but also an overall improvement in her wellbeing and self-esteem. For us, it was a gratifying example of how lymphatic massage in combination with the PRANAMAT ECO pad can positively affect both appearance and health.

3) Limb pain and recovery problems

A client who is involved in performance sports, specifically triathlon, originally came to us only for physiotherapy. Since the client was suffering from leg congestion, which manifested itself in pain and heaviness, we added lymphatic massage to the physiotherapy. The results of the lymphatic massages were remarkable. The massages contributed to a significant improvement in blood circulation, which had a direct effect on the regeneration of his muscles and the removal of lactic acid. As a result, he gradually got rid of pain and discomfort in his legs. We also tried to incorporate the PRANAMAT ECO acupressure pad into his daily routine, which, in combination with lymphatic massages, visibly helped to faster regeneration and relaxation not only of the client's congested areas. Our client's experience underlines the effectiveness of lymphatic massages and PRANAMAT ECO acupressure pads in the prevention and treatment of muscle congestion.

How did this whole works?

Thanks to its precise acupressure points, the PRANAMAT ECO acupressure pad stimulates the lymphatic system, promotes lymph flow and helps detoxify the body. This pad is not only a means of relaxing the muscles, but also becomes a tool for education about the lymphatic system. And along with our manual lymphatic massage, it is a tool for improving overall health. Through all this testing, we have found that the combination of professional care at FYZIO MEDICO CLINIC and the therapeutic action of PRANAMAT ECO creates a new standard of care for the lymphatic system. Our clients no longer have to be passive recipients, but also active participants in their own health.

We believe this collaboration will combine the best of both worlds and allow people to care for their lymphatic system both in our clinic and in the comfort of their own homes.

In conclusion:
At FYZIO MEDICO CLICNIC, we believe that our connection with PRANAMAT doesn't have to ultimately be just about taking care of the lymphatic system. It can be a revolution in how people care for their bodies. With this collaboration, taking care of the lymphatic system will no longer just be about going for a massage twice a month, but about a total mindset transformation in taking care of your own health and your own contribution.

...or how PHYSICAL THERAPY HELPS to manage stress and bad movement habits

All of us have sometimes encountered an inconvenience called acute blockage. It can severely restrict our mobility and cause us unpleasant pain. Whether it's a sedentary lifestyle, stress or bad habits, acute blockage can take us by surprise and disrupt our daily routine. Fortunately, there is an effective solution in the form of physiotherapy to help us not only manage this inconvenience, but also prevent it from happening again.

Acute blockage is a condition in which there is a loss of mobility of a joint or body part. This condition can occur due to various factors such as:

  1. Bad habits such as lack of exercise, poor ergonomics at work or repetitive movements without sufficient stretching.
  2. A sedentary lifestyle associated with working at a computer or sitting for long periods can lead to weakened muscles and poor posture, which also increases the risk of blockages.
  3. Stress, much talked about, but few know that it is often behind acute blockages - tension in the body caused by stress can lead to unwanted muscle contractions and restriction of movement.

In summary, our modern lifestyle can easily cause us to overload certain muscle groups and impair blood flow to joints and tissues.

PHYSIOTHERAPY AS A SOLUTION

Physiotherapy has proven to be an effective way to manage and prevent acute blockages. Our physiotherapists are educated professionals who work with patients to restore mobility and strengthen muscles. During physiotherapy, we use the most up-to-date knowledge and employ various techniques such as manual or device therapy, muscle strengthening exercises, stretching and massage to help release tension and restore proper body function.

Removing the acute pain, however, does not mean solving the long-term problem that caused the blockage. Prevention is always better than cure, which is why it's important to pay attention to your habits and lifestyle. Regular physical activity, stress reduction, regular stretching and muscle strengthening exercises can significantly reduce the risk of developing acute blockages. Proper ergonomics at work and in everyday life also play a key role. Your physiotherapist can help you with all this.

Acute blockage can be a real nuisance that disrupts our daily lives. Physiotherapy is becoming a key solution for those struggling with this problem and also for those who want to prevent its recurrence. Remember that prevention is key and that investing in your health can pay off many times over.

.. or health and productivity on FIRST PLACE

Nowadays, not only personal but also professional life is often full of challenges and demands that can negatively affect a person physically and mentally, which affects their overall fitness. This is why more and more companies are choosing to invest in the health of their employees and offer them various benefits that include physiotherapy. Physiotherapy has proven to be an essential benefit for employees for several key reasons.

1. Prevention and measures against injuries, dLong hoursspent at the computer, repetitive movements and lack of activity can lead to many health problems such as acute locked-in back pain, carpal tunnel and other muscle and joint problems. Physiotherapy can play a key role in preventing these problems by providing employees with the tools and advice to properly care for their bodies and prevent work-related injuries.

2. Improvement of range of motion and posture, A sedentary lifestyle can lead to a gradual loss of range of motion and poor posture. A physiotherapist can work individually with employees to improve their range of motion, strengthen muscles and correct posture. This not only helps prevent pain, but also increases comfort at work.

3. Relieve stress and tension, physiotherapy involves not only the physical side, but also psychological well-being. Relaxation and exercise recommended by a physiotherapist can help reduce the stress and tension often associated with the work environment. A healthy body makes the body less susceptible to the negative effects of stress and illness, which helps to significantly reduce employee absenteeism.

4. Increased productivity and absenteeism, Employees who feel physically and mentally healthy are more productive and less likely to be absent from work for long periods. Therefore, investing in physiotherapy can reduce the costs associated with sickness absence and lost productivity for employers.

5. Strengthening the team and company culture, By offering physiotherapy as an employee benefit, the company shows that it cares about the health and well-being of its employees. This care can strengthen employee relationships and create a positive company culture where health and well-being is paramount.

In conclusion, physiotherapy has many benefits for employees and employers. It provides injury prevention, improves range of motion and posture, reduces stress, prevents frequent illness, increases productivity and strengthens company culture. A company that invests in physical therapy as an employee benefit makes it clear that it cares about the health and overall well-being of its team.

At FYZIO MEDICO CLINIC, we offer tailor-made programmes for your employees, such as preventive or acute physiotherapy or ergonomic advice for your workplace. For more information, please arrange a consultation during which we will propose the optimal benefit for your company.
